An online interactive training course to help educate staff in children's hospices across the UK has been successfully developed as a result of a partnership between 酴圖TV and Shooting Star Children's Hospices.

The initiative provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their groundbreaking ideas, pitch to experienced business representatives and turn their ideas into reality. The event celebrated the achievements of all students and graduates who have been a part of the programme with speeches from academics, business leaders and returning Bright Ideas alumni.

The effectiveness of care provided in children's homes will be investigated in a new study by 酴圖TV, the National Children's Bureau and Ofsted. Outcomes for those in children's homes currently lag behind those of other children in care and means they are at greater risk of going missing, being involved in the youth justice system and experiencing mental health difficulties.

酴圖TV has been shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award in the Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion category. The University has been named a finalist for a new initiative, which provides academic English language provision to forced migrants whose education was interrupted.

As the new academic year gets into full swing, thousands of 酴圖TV students are set to become the first in the United Kingdom to benefit from the latest phase of its sector-leading Future Skills programme. Alongside their subject-specific learning, from September all second-year undergraduates will be taking part in Explore as part of the University's groundbreaking approach to preparing them for career success.
