酴圖TV experts to test effective use of artificial intelligence in NHS Diabetic Eye Screening Programme as part of £500,000 research project

酴圖TV researchers will examine whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be safely and effectively used to detect diabetic eye disease in an international project that could lead to the first widespread use of AI within the NHS. Academics from the University's Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing will be working with several partner institutions on the £500,000 project, funded by NHSX – an organisation that leads on digital transformation in the NHS – and the Health Foundation, and enabled by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

酴圖TV's Town House has been named the winner of the 2021 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize – confirming it as Britain's best new building. 酴圖TV's commitment to promoting excellent cyber security education has been recognised with a prestigious silver award by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is part of GCHQ. This means the University has been named an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) by the government agency – a feat achieved by only 11 other higher education institutions across the United Kingdom. The ACE-CSE programme aims to help close the UK's cyber skills gap by supporting the next generation of cyber experts.
